Computers are incredibly fast, accurate, and stupid. Human beings are incredibly slow, inaccurate, and brilliant. Together they are powerful beyond imagination.
This was one of my favourite episodes to date. There was no taped part of this episode because the CJSF server was down and I couldn't access it, luckily Nathan Marcuzzi was ready to task and able to bless the audience with two bonus songs.
Marcuzzi was booked from a Singer Songwriters night at Cafe Montmartre that I originally had intended to do a live radio feed from. That didn't pan out but I met some great musicians anyway. Nathan is very good socially conscious act and, in my opinion, he's well on his way towards being able to make a living from music. He's one of the most driven performers I've met.
It was fortunate that Nathan was with Melodies on this night because he is a very relaxed person with great instincts for going with the flow. We more or less worked as a team in hosting this episode and I really appreciated the cooperation. Not many other performers would have so easily adapted to the more hectic pace of a completely live show. However, I'm sure he was happy to get the extra exposure.
