"Do Quote This"

A Zen master stood up before his student to deliver a sermon. Just as he was about to open him mouth, a bird sang. The Zen master proclaimed, "The sermon has been delivered".

Unknown origin, from the book "The Art of Serenity' by T. Bryam

Johanna Chapman Smith

The March 20th episode 2007 featured Johanna Chapman Smith, and it was a long time coming. The date had to be moved from February 20th for the Homelessness Marathon broadcast.

Johanna has released a fantastic album Eyre Corvidae (see cd reviews). And I'm lucky, because I know her too. She played some new songs on the show that I'm sure will be on the next album or passed on through legend. Chapman Smith has a very impressive range in everything and a fine aristic touch. Wacky humor too. Quite an odd duck and a fine human being.

Before the show Johanna was kind enough to give me a knitting lesson. So, her wisdom in knitting too will also be passed on through the generations.
