Lonely Little Planet (2011)

Milling about,
Listless, a scout
For things to buy,
A need for smile,
Or some conversation,
A little less strange,
Hello sir, how are you sir?
Here is your change.

Touring the streets,
deep in the heat,
Ice coffee drinks,
Making the links,
Of present to past,
One never goes fast,
In this world on display,
Until labour day.

So this is your life.
The book you will write.
On all you have learned,
when work was adjourned.
You travelled the world,
seen all the sights,
sweated the days,
casinos at night.

Some have read books,
Some magazines,
And they travel the pages,
They travel in dreams,
But you have explored,
Like lions with pride,
With the lonely little planet,
Travellers guide.
